He’s going to play for a different USC.The Miami, Fla. native has committed to South Carolina.247Sports first reported the news:Former Southern Cal defensive back Jamel Cook will has joined the South Carolina football team, per contacts within the Gamecocks football program.In three games as a redshirt freshman in 2017, Cook appeared in three games and was in on two tackles. His true freshman season, he was sidelined with a foot injury for half of the year and could not do much of anything.Cook was ranked the No. 99 overall recruit in the 2016 class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
