Although that embarrassment is behind them, the hits keep coming for Virginia Tech.Despite playing the majority of this season, sophomore wideout Sean Savoy will transfer from Virginia Tech. He made the announcement on Twitter in a heartfelt message to his supporters. Here is the post:pic.twitter.com/3LcRw1eQhB— Sean Savoy (@Allmet_Boogie) November 19, 2018Savoy has 18 receptions for 188 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season. In his freshman campaign, the speedster had 454 receiving yards, 116 yards on the ground and six total touchdowns. The Hokies can still rely on Damon Hazelton to carry the receiving corps for the foreseeable future, but this news still hurts. It’ll be worth monitoring where Savoy transfers to, especially since he has two seasons of eligibility remaining. With the regular season finale scheduled for Friday, the Hokies might be counting down the days until this nightmare is over.
