Konami brings together all of Metal Gear Solid V with The Definitive

first_imgKonami wants to squeeze as much profit as it can out of Hideo Kojima’s last ever Metal Gear Solid game, and so, we’re getting a rather predictable one final release of Metal Gear Solid V in the form of a Definitive Experience collection. If you haven’t picked the game(s) up for whatever reason, then it’s actually been worth waiting for. Metal Gear Solid V has a lot of content that was split over multiple releases in both physical and digital form. We first got Ground Zeroes, which was a 2 hour experience for $40 and could actually be completed in just 10 minutes. After that we got the main game called The Phantom Pain, which also unlocked access to the online multiplayer experience Metal Gear Online and had a lot of DLC packs released. There was also extra missions released for Ground Zeroes. The image below shows you just how much extra content there is available:Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience collects together Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Online, and all the DLC packs into a single package which will cost $49.99. The release date is set for October 11 and you’ll be able to pick it up for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s also important to not that Konami has thankfully put all the content on the disc, so no downloading will be required. As a collection, The Definitive Experience offers a lot of content to play through. And with the age of the game now (12 months), I really can’t see that $49.99 price point holding for very long and especially if Konami intends to flood the market with stock. Don’t forget, they’ve already sold over 6 million copies of The Phantom Pain worldwide and Ground Zeroes has experienced heavy discounting for months. <>last_img
